High School Golf
This is a VERY exciting time of the year! October in Ohio means it’s state championship season! This past weekend, the OHSAA Division II Championship was contested at the Ohio State University Golf Club – Scarlet Course. We were fortunate enough to have three players competing, Trevor Binau, Dylan Stevens, and Jack Sonne. What a weekend! All three players finished in the top-10 earning them All-Ohio Honors! In addition to this, we are incredibly excited to announce that Trevor Binau was this year’s state champion! This is Trevor’s second individual state title! As PGIC enters into its tenth year, this is our 13th individual state championship winner! We are incredibly humbled and honored to be working with such great athletes.
This weekend, OSU Scarlet will host the Division I State Championship, and we will keep you updated on the results from our players!
Recent LOW Scores
This past month we had two players take it DEEP! We want to recognize Kristin Jamieson (2019, Ohio State) for firing a 65 at her district tournament, which included a 29 on the front nine. Secondly, Mason Wagner (2019, Xavier) shot a 60 this past week. Yes, you read that correctly, a 60!! Congratulations to Mason and Kristin and best of luck this weekend as you compete for your last state title.
Last month, we announced a couple of new programs we are offering for the winter months. There are still spots available! Details are below.
- Six Month Off Season Junior Development – This new program is designed for players who want a holistic approach to developing their game and navigating the recruiting process this offseason. It includes a personalized fitness program through The Training Room, an unlimited membership at The Range, weekly lessons with Coach Sparling, recruiting plan for the upcoming year, weekly Play Golf in College seminars, and a TPT golf shaft.
- Six Month Adult Speed Training and Fitness Program – Who doesn’t want to hit it further?? We hear it all too often how adults have lost their distance as they’ve gotten older, but what are they doing about it? Nothing! We want to change that! This program will include two training sessions each week at The Training Room, a weekly session at The Range, two lessons each month with Coach Sparling, and a TPT golf shaft. We are confident that you will increase your total driving by at least 10%. If you don’t, your TPT shaft is FREE!

Recruiting
As we enter the fall and winter months, it is a perfect time for junior golfers to begin the recruiting process! Freshman (2022 graduates) and Sophomores (2021 graduates) the time is NOW! The high school golf season is coming to a close, leaving more time for players to devote to this part of their journey. We can’t stress it enough that this process takes time. If you’re reading this and are not a part of the PGIC family, we would love to answer any questions you may have about the recruiting process and how we can help.
